Kundapur: ’Depressed’ arecanut trader commits suicide

Kundapur, May 14, 2016: An arecanut trader who resided near Neralakatte Temple has reportedly committed suicide by hanging  himself  inside the arecanut godown close by his house on May 13, Friday.

The deceased is Sripathi Baliga (40). It is believed that Baliga was suffering from depression since some days.  He was doing arecanut business since two decades and was reportedly in  heavy debt.

Meanwhile, some locals state that Baliga’s suicide had links with the reported suicide of a coconut factory owner at Katbelthur recently.

Kundapur Police are investigating the case.
