The stolen valuables include a silver  mask, cash from the donation box and a special umbrella used  for the Lord. It has been gathered that after opening the main doors, the thieves had opened five  more locks of other doors.

Though the temple was renovated recently, the temple authorities had not installed CCTV cameras as instructed by the administration owing to financial crunch. What is surprising is the theft taking place despite regular police patrolling in the area.

Sniffer squad and finger print experts were pressed into service and further investigations are underway.

Meanwhile, a theft ha also been reported in the Shree Bhadramahakali Temple located nearby. Police suspect the involvement of a single group in both the theft cases.
