Kundapur: Three of a family drown in a pond at Beloor

Kundapur, May30, 2017: In a tragic incident mother and her two daughters drown in a pond at Beloor in Kudapur on My 30, Tuesday evening.

 

Bharati Shetty (42) and her daughters Prithvi (21) and Prajna  (17) are identified as the deceased.

 

Sources say that Bharthi, Prithvi and Prajna had been to bring the sacks of paddy kept in the field near pond . Bharthi accidentally slips and falls into the pond, Prithvi  rushed to recue her mother. On noticing them struggling Prajna jumped to save them, but all the three drowned . It is learnt that none of the knew swimming.

The bodies were recovered from the pond with the help of police and fire personnel.

Case has been registered in Kota police station.
