Kundapur : Teenager meets watery grave in pond

Kundapur, July 27, 2015: A teenager met a watery grave in a pond at Mavinakere near Kenchanur on July 26, Sunday.The deceased boy is Ranjith Devadiga (17), son of Lalitha Devadiga and Muthaiah. It is learnt, Rajith  was driving away cattle which had come close by his house when he suddenly slipped and fell  into the pond.

 

 

His family members, upon realising that he had not returned home, went searching for him but in vain. Finally on suspicion that he might have drowned, the fire service personnel and police were informed.

The  body of Ranjith was later retrieved from the pond. He was a PUC student in a college in Kundapur.

Local police are investigating the case.
