Kundapur : Lorry overturns after tyre burst ; driver killed

Kundapur, Mar 20, 2014 :  In a tragic mishap, the driver of a goods lorry lost his life after  getting crushed under the wheels of his own vehicle which overturned following a tyre burst. The mishap took place at Ottinene near Byndoor on March 19, Wednesday.

The deceased  driver is Dinesh((46) of Gujarat origin. The lorry cleaner however had a miraculous escape.

The lorry loaded with plywood  was on way to Mumbai from Kerala  when its tyre burst near Ottinene. It is said the driver tried to jump out of the vehicle when its tyre burst, but he eventually fell under his own vehicle.

A case has been registered in Byndoor police station.
