Kundapur: Kodi returns to normalcy

Kundapur, Jan 27, 2015:  Kodi in Kundapur taluk which had witnessed a tense situation following group clashes on January 25, Sunday,  has returned to normalcy.

It may be mentioned here that clashes were reported between youth of different community over  trivial issue resulting in stone pelting incidents wherein many were injured. Police had to then resort to lathi charge and tear gas to bring the situation under control.

SP A Annamalai has informed that the situation was peaceful in the village. He however said so far no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The SP also stated that a unit of DAR and KSRP have been deployed in the affected area.
