Kundapur : Fire serviceman ends life; reason unknown

Kundapur, Nov 27, 2015 : A fire service personnel attached to the Koni fire service station in Kundapur  has reportedly ended his life by hanging himself to the railing of the Herikudru bridge on the National Highway 66 on November 27, Friday.

The deceased fire fighter is Bhasker (45) who hailed from Maddugudde. Sources said Bhasker  who was on duty at Pali the previous night had returned home on Friday morning. After breakfast, he had left home in his bike never to return.  Some passerby people saw his body hanging  from the bridge almost an hour later.

The reason that might have driven the fire fighter to the extreme step is not known immediately. He is survived by his wife and two children.  Fire Service Department sources said he was a sincere staff The body has been shifted for a post-mortem to the Kundapur Government Hospital.

 Kundapur police have registered a case.
