The shop owned by Chandra Achar was rented out to one Suguna about eight months ago. All the clothes, sewing machines and other furniture in the shop were destroyed in the fire and the loss has been estimated at Rs 4 lakhs.

Here it is worth mentioning that there was a dispute  between Achar and the management committee of the temple  and the committee had even pulled down a  building raised by Achar  claiming that it was on a government land. This incident had taken place two months ago.

Now, the fire mishap in Achar’s shop has given room for suspicion. Locals say they had sound of a blast, possibly out of explosion of an LPG cylinder at around 1 am and soon the  fire had engulfed the entire shop.
Brahmavar police have pressed forensic experts into service and investigations are underway.
