Kundapur: Employee injured as cement plastering of Mini Vidhana Saudha ceiling falls

Kundapur, August 18, 2019:  A retired first division clerk who now works for the Varahi project was injured when the concrete plaster from the ceiling of the revenue office of Mini Vidhana Saudha here fell on him on August 18, Saturday. The revenue office was located on the first floor of the building.

Though as many as 12 other staff too were in the office when the incident took place, they managed to rush out. Three computers and some furniture were damaged in the incident.

After some employees complained to Deputy Commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati, a directive was issued  to the Assistant Commissioner to file a report.

Here it may me mentioned that in a similar incident the plaster of the ceiling had come down at the entrance of the same office last year. The Mini Vidhana Saudha  was inaugurated in February, 2015.
