Kundapur: Duo arrested for misbehaving with minor girl

Kundapur, July 14, 2015:  Police here have arrested two of the three accused who in connection with a case wherein they misbehaved with a  minor girl  at the bus stop at Koteshwar near here on July 13, Monday. It has been alleged that the accused had not only teased the girl, but also had passed on their mobile numbers to her asking her to call them.

 

 

Those arrested are Safan and Suhail, both 19 years of age and hailing from Gulvady. Another accused Shafi (20) is absconding. All the three are said to be students and have been booked under the  Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act as the accused, a I PUC student is a minor.

It is learnt, the police could manage to apprehend the two after the public had caught hold of them and gave them a good thrashing. Shafi however managed to escape. Sources said the boys were stalking the girl since some days.

The two accused have been produced before the court.
