The SP further said Vishwanath, a mason was in touch with Usha since  eight years  and was also  offering her financial assistance and that Usha who was separated from her husband five years ago was pressurising him to construct a house for her.

Investigations also revealed that Vishwanath had stopped funding Usha  recently and  following a quarrel between the two  he decided to eliminate her once for all with Karunaker’s help.

On November 23, Vishwanath with a view to kill Usha had invited her to his new house at Halniru. It is learnt, he had even invited Karunaker and  both reportedly had sex with Usha. Usha’s two children stayed with her mother, while she used to reside in the factory quarters. However when there was no information about Usha and even her cell phone remained switch off after November 23, ever since she joined work after her Diwali holiday, her family tried to locate her but in vain.

The police have seized the  ornaments which Usha was wearing and was taken away by Vishwanath thinking them to be gold ornaments. Police said the ornaments were artificial. Apart from them, a Rico watch and two cell phones and a cash Rs 10,190 has been seized from the duo.
