Kumki land rights issue : BJP to hold campaign across district

Mangaluru Mar 22, 2016: Dakshina Kannada District BJP President Prathap Simha Nayak has said that an awareness  campaign will be conducted with regard to Kumki Land rights in 230 gram panchayats in the district from March 25 to April 5.

 

 

 

Speaking to the press at BJP office on Tuesday March 22, he said that the campaign has been organised to respond to the appeal of farmers with regard to Kumki land rights, as per a decision       taken at a party office bearers meet.

He further said the BJP was also concerned over the sand shortage which has left construction workers jobless. There is a need to solve the problem at the earliest, he added.

Regarding the temple invitation row, he said state government has failed to take some crucial decision.  The government which is in a state of slumber was not responding to the problems, he alleged.

Former  MLC Monappa Bhandary, Sanjay Prabhu and others were present.
