Mangaluru, Dec 22, 2019: JD(S) leader and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy  who arrived in the city on December 22, Sunday visited the Kudroli residence of Nausheen who was killed in police firing during the Citizenship Amendment Act protest in Mangaluru on Thursday.

Kumaraswamy who consoled the grieving family members handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakhs. MLCs S L Bhojegowda, B M Farooq, JD(S) District President Muhammad Kunhi Vittla and others were present.


Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has also announced Rs 10 lakh each as compensation to the families of the two people who died during protests in Mangaluru on December 19.
