An owner of liquor shop had granted a land for the construction of Ambedkar Bhavan near Kudligi bus stand. A few people had opposed the move. In connection to this issue, the DySP had arrested Congress leader Ravi, BJP Kudligi town panchayath member Rajanikantha and Krishnamurthy and allegedly assaulted them.

A few supporters of the arrested leaders had protested against the officer for the allegations. The higher officials seeing these developments rebuked and took the officer to task. Frustrated over the behaviour of the higher officials, the officer reportedly tendered her resignation.

The officer was also in the forefront of stopping illegal liquor mafia in her jurisdiction, when she was abruptly transferred on the day the Election Commission announced the code of conduct for Zilla and Taluk Panchayat elections in the State.

It may be recalled that Shenoy was in news for being shunted out of the district and later reinstated for keeping the phone call of Labour Minister P.T. Parmeshwar Naik on hold.
