Kranti Sena begins hunger strike; urges govt to drop charges against ANF cop

Mangalore, May 10, 2014:  The Bharata Kranti Sena has commenced its two-day hunger strike in front of the DC office on May 10, Saturday demanding the withdrawal of the murder case registered against ANF constable Naveen Naik who reportedly shot dead Kabeer at Tanikodu check-post near  Shringeri recently.

Pranavananda Swami, President of the Sena, said  Naveen Naik had shot at Kabeer after mistaking him for a Naxal as  he tried to flee on seeing the ANF men.

Demanding an end to cattle slaughter, Pranavananda also said they were ready to go to jail to protect cattle.

Referring to the Lok Sabha elections, he said the BJP will win and Modi will become the next prime minister of the nation.

Shree Saradar Sevalal Swamiji from Chithradurga, Rajesh Poojary, Sundar G,Lohith Kumar, Uday Shanker Devadiga, Kumar Malemar and others participated in the protest. The protestors also burnt an effigy of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
