Kundapur, May 30, 2016 : Jyothi Raj from Chitradurga who is famous as the Kothi Raja or Monkey King, thanks to his amazing skills to climb rocks and walls, left people of Kundapur thrilled on May 28, Saturday evening with his unbelievable skills.
Speaking to reporters later on, Jyothi Raj narrated his life’s story, on how he was dejected in life and wanted to end life, but later too up his wall climbing skill as a profession. Regretting that he has not been receiving any support or encouragement from the government, he attributed his name and fame to the media which highlighted his achievements.
He says he has plans to set up a Monkey Club aimed at assisting in providing education to a few needy students. He says his aim was to climb India’s tallest sky scrapers and said he was training his nephew in climbing and wants him to be part of the 2020 Olympics.
He also appreciated the people of Kundapur for all their support. His mother was also present in Kundapur to watch her son’s performance.
