Kota double murder case: Five more accused arrested

Udupi, Feb 12, 2019: Police have arrested five more persons including a student in connection with the Kota double murder case.

The arrested are   Abhishek alias Abhi Palan (23) from Udupi, Santosh Kunder (36) from Barkur,  Nagaraj (44) of Brahmavar,  Pranav Rao (20) of Bhadravathi and Shankera Mogaveera (41) of Shankernarayana.

Of the five, Abhishek is said to be directly involved in the crime while the rest have  reportedly assisted him. With this the total arrests in the case has risen to 14.

Among the accused Pranav is a final year B.Com student  and is accused of supplying cash and mobile to the accused.

All the five have been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody till February 15.

Bharath Kumar  and Yatish  were hacked to death on January 26 over the issue of a dispute regarding drainage pit.
