Kota double murder case : 2 DAR cops nabbed for abetting the accused

Udupi, Feb 11, 2019:  Two police constables of the District Armed Reserve Force have been arrested by the police in connection with the Kota double murder case.

The arrested cops are Veerendra Acharya and Pavan Amin. Both are facing charges of abetting the accused  in the crime. It is learnt the two were in close touch with the main accused Rajashekhar Reddy, Mahesh Ganiga and Santosh Kunder. It is said that they had stayed at the residence of Pavan Amin at Kuchoor in Hebri on the night of the murder of Yatish and Bharath Kumar on January 26.

The following day, Harish Reddy had even called Pavan seeking a SIM card, mobile phone, cash etc and Pavan had heeded to the request and sent the same through Pranav Bhat.  It is said Pavan and Veerendra had even arranged a car for the accused and  helped them stay at a relative’s house at Mallandoor on January 28.

A car, mobile phone have been seized among other things from the two constables who have been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody till February 15.
