Koraga association demands arrest of man who offended religious figure ’Koragajja’

Mangaluru, Oct 30, 2017 :  The Federation of Koraga Development Associations staged a protest  in front of the DC office here  on October 30, Monday  demanding the  arrest of the person who has offended Koragajja   who is revered and worshipped by the Koraga community.

 

Addressing the  protestors, M Sundera, President of the Federation  said it was very much regretting that  Koragajja who is held in high esteem by the Koraga community was subject to insult in social sites. He also demanded immediate arrest of the accused person. He further demanded formation of a committee in all taluk levels under the leadership of the Tahsildar to prevent such acts of insulting religious figures.

The protestors submitted a memorandum enlisting their demands.  Ramesh Kogga, Vice President of the Association , Diwaker Kenjur, Sumathi, Babu Pangala, Gowri Kenjur and others participated in the protest.
