Koodlu Bank robbery case : One more accused arrested in Goa; 50 sovereign gold seized

Kasargod, Oct 1, 2015 : The total number of arrests in the Koodlu co-operative Bank robbery case which took place at Eriyal, has risen to five with the police arresting one more person.


Koodlu  Bank robbery case The arrested person is Abdul Karim (31) from Chowki Majal. He was arrested in Goa. The police even seized 50 sovereigns of gold which the accused had sold in Madgao.

So far the police have seized  8 kg of the stolen jewels from the bank. Meanwhile police are on the lookout for yet another accused namely Mujhib who they suspect is in possession of the remaining stolen gold.

Earlier  police had seized 7.5 kg gold from one of the accused Sharief from Pachambala. Apart from Sharief, other arrested earlier are Abdul Mahshuq, Mohammad Sabeer and Abdul Karim.

The robbery had taken place on September 7 wherein the thieves had escaped with 21 kg gold and 13 lakhs cash.
