Konkan rail line network declared secure for travel

Mangaluru, Apr 18, 2018 : Commissioner of Railway Safety (Central Circle), Aravind Kumar Jain, recently  expressed satisfaction over the safety standards maintained by Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., (KRCL) along its network. An official release from KRCL here said that safety commissioner Jain and other officials undertook an annual safety inspection of the Konkan line route network.

 

 

After the inspection, he said the measures of KRCL would ensure safety of trains and passengers. He inspected Roha-Madgaon section, including Nathuvadi tunnel, Bijghar cutting, Karanjadi Station, level crossing gate, points and crossings and Panval viaduct. At Ratnagiri, Konkan Railway staff demonstrated various rescue skills which was well appreciated.

He also inspected the network between Madgaon-Surathkal, including Khadem cutting, Mudgeri tunnel, bridge, Karwar Station and level crossing gate and other arrangements.
