Konkan Railway to run special trains to clear year end passenger demand

Mangaluru, Dec 12, 2016: According to reports seen here,  Konkan Railway has decided to run special trains between Pune-Karmali-Pune, Mumbai CST- Sawantwadi - Mumbai CST, Lokmanya Tilak(T) – Karmali- Lokmanya Tilak (T), Mumbai CST-Karmali-Mumbai CST, Mumbai CST- Tirunelveli – Mumbai CST and Pune- Mangalore junction - Pune to clear extra rush of passengers during upcoming series of holidays. The facility has been arranged in co-ordination with Central Railway and Southern Railway.

Pune - Karmali – Pune Special Weekly Train Train number 01409 Pune - Karmali weekly special train will leave from Pune at 20:20 hours on December 15, 22, 29 and January 05 and 12, 2017. Train will reach Karmali at 08.30 hours on the next day. Train Number 01410 Karmali- Pune weekly special train will leave from Karmali at 13.35 hours on December 16, 23, 30 and January 06, 13. Train will reach Pune at 02.45 hours on the next day. The train will have 15 coaches and will halt at Lonavala, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Thivim stations. Mumbai CST- Sawantwadi – Mumbai CST Tri-Weekly Special Train Train number 01095 Mumbai CST- Sawantwadi tri-weekly special train will leave from Mumbai CST at 05.15 hours on December 22, 24 , 26, 29, 31 and January 02, 05, 07, 09 and 12. Train will reach Sawantwadi at 16.30 hours on the same day. Train number 01096 Sawantwadi – Mumbai CST tri-weekly special train will from leave Sawantwadi at 07.30 Hours on December 23, 25, 27 , 30 and January 01, 03, 06 , 08, 10, 13. Train will reach Mumbai CST at 17.15 hours on the same day.

The train will have 12 coaches and will halt at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri ,Rajapur, Kankavali, Sindhudurg and Kudal stations. Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Karmali – Lokmanya Tilak (T) weekly special train Train number 01041 Lokmanya Tilak (T) - Karmali weekly special train will leave from Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 01.10 hours on December 16, 23, 30 and January 06 , 13. train will reach Karmali at 11.30 hours on the same day. Train number 01042 Karmali – Lokmanya Tilak (T) weekly special train will leave from Karmali at 12.20 hours. On December 16, 23, 30 and January 06, 13. Train will reach Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 23.15 hours on the same day. The train will have 14 coaches and will halt at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri , Kankavali, Kudal and Thivim stations. Train number 01039 / 01040 Mumbai CST – Karmali – Mumbai CST special train (4days in a week) Train number 01039 Mumbai CST - Karmali special train will leave from Mumbai CST at 00.20 hours on December 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 31 - and January 01,, 03, 04, 07, 08, 10, 11, 14. Train will reach Karmali at 11.30 on the same day. Train number 01040 Karmali – Mumbai CST special train will leave from Karmali at 12..20 hours on December 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 31 and January 01 , 03, 04 , 07, 08, 10, 11, 14. Train will reach Mumbai CST 22.45 Hours on the same day. Train will have 15 coaches and will halt at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha,Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal and Thivim stations.


Train number 01067 / 01068 Mumbai CST – Tirunelveli – Mumbai CST weekly special train Train Number 01067 Mumbai CST – Tirunelveli weekly special train will leave from Mumbai CST at 16.40 hours on December 18 , 25 and January 1, 8, 15. Train will reach Tirunelveli at 02.15 hours on the third day. Train number 01068 Tirunelveli – Mumbai CST weekly special train will leave from Tirunelveli at 04.45 hours on december 20, 27 and January 3 , 10 , 17. The train will reach Mumbai CST at 12.30 hours on the next day. Train will have 15 coahces and will have stops at Dadar,Thane, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon, Karwar,Kumta, Mookambika Road Byndoor,Udupi, Mulki, Mangalore Jn, Kasargod, Kannur, Thalasery, Kozhikkode, Tirur, Shoranur Jn.,Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayan, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Kayankulam, Kollam, Trivandrum,Neyyatinkara, Kulittural, Eraniel, Nagarcoil Town and Valliyur stations. Train number 01301 /01302 Pune – Mangalore Junction – Pune weekly special Train number 01301 Pune – Mangalore junction weekly special will leave from Pune 16.10 hours on December 17, 24 ,31 and January 7, 14. Train will reach Mangalore junction at 10.55 hours on the next day. Train number 01302 Mangalore junction – Pune weekly special train will leave from Mangalore junction at 12.50 Hours on December 18, 25 and January 1, 8 , 15. Train will reach Pune at 08.15 hours on the next day. Train will have 15 coaches and will halt at Lonavala, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Udupi and Mulki stations.

Bookings for all trains will be opened on December 13 through internet and at all PRS locations.
