Konchady burglary case: Two accused detained

Mangaluru July 8, 2016: Mangaluru Police succeeded in detaining two accused in connection with Konchady burglary at Narasimha Roa’s house on July 2nd, informed Police Commissioner M Chandrashekar in a press meet at Commissioner’s office today July 8, Friday.

The arrested have been identified as Basappa Jadar alias Ambareesh (25) and Rashida alias Kaji (23) resident of Navalugundha in Dharwad.

He also said that, soon after the complaint Police swung in action and investigated the case, CCTV footage clearly showed the involvement of the security guard and maid. Later police have able to arrest both the accused at Kulai and recovered 17.38 lakhs, 3 mobiles and silver ornaments from their possession.

He explained synopsis of theft as Narasimha Roa posted ad regard to job vacancy for security guard, taking this as a opportunity they secured job in Narasimha Roa’s residence on June 27th, but on July 2nd the plan was executed when no one was there at home and stole 18 lakhs cash and silver ornaments.

The accused Ambareesh has involved in various cases in Dharwad and Bijapur for stealing motor bike and been to jail.

In order to take some precautionary measure occupant need to check proper background of the person before recruiting for the job, said Police Commissioner M Chandrashekar.

The operation was carried out under the leadership of ACP Udayanayak, Inspectors MA Natraj, PSI Umesh Kumar, ASI Vanajakshi, Vishwanath, Ramana Shetty, Balakrishna, Rajshekar Gowda, Ganesh Kumar and Yashwanth Rai.

DCP’s Shantharaju, Sanjeev M Patil and ACP Udayanayak were present.
