Kingpin, accomplice of Ullal’s notorious Target Gang arrested

Mangaluru, Nov 23, 2017: Police have arrested two persons including the kingpin of the notorious target group of Ullal who were wanted in several cases including a murder attempt case.

Those arrested are Surmo Imran alias Imran of Melangady  and   Ilyas alias Target Ilyas of Ullal Sunderbagh. Ilyas is  said to be the kingpin of the racket while  Imran is his accomplice.

Police arrested Imran from Mumbai. Acting on a tip off,  a team from the Anti-Rowdy Squad of Mangaluru South Sub-Division raided  the Wood Land Guest House near Dadar Railway Station  in  Mumbai and arrested him. Ilyas was arrested from a flat at Jeppu Kodpady in Mangaluru.

He was absconding ever since he attempted to murder a person named Davood in Ullal along with his accomplices. He was wanted in over 25 cases.

The accused has been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
