Kerala authorities seize 3 Karnataka boats for flouting rules

Kasargod, Feb 19, 2024: The Fisheries Department of Kerala has seized three boats from Karnataka for unauthorized trawl boat fishing  during night.

 

The boats Asian Blue, Sriranga and Ganesh Prasanna were seized for violation of fishing permission and also for flouting time restrictions.  A fine of Rs 7.5 lakhs was also imposed on the boats.

According to the fisheries officials of Kerala, the three boats were found within 12 nautical miles off Kumble coast during prohibited hours at night.
