Kavya Kadame Nagarakatte receives Kadangodlu award

Mangaluru, Aug 12, 2017: Speaking after receiving the Kadangodlu award presented by the Rashtrakavi Govinda Pai Research Centre,Young writer Kavya Kadame Nagarakatte from New Jersey said women are similar to the snatched pages of the novel of helplessness.


Kavya Kadame She said that  freedom is more essential as the bird inside a cage  will not sing rhythmically when compared to the bird which sings flying in the wide open world. A general opposition towards the restrictions, the limitations will not hamper the growth of hidden expression, she added referring to the scholarly Virginia women in American and their write-ups to that of the women in India who write scholarly publications.

Every preconceived notion seems to be a myth so as the communal hatred cultivated in America, which actually is the creation of the people themselves. The tendency to follow the notion already established has become the norm, she felt.

Veteran writer Vaidehi, after releasing the book ’Jeans Thotta Devaru’, said there is a need to spread the message of love and not the language of hatred.

Writer Dr Erya Lakshiminarayan Alva said that Kadangodlu Shankar Bhat was a Gandhian and had balanced his life and passion.
