Kaup will be developed as Model TMC: Minister Sorake

Udupi, Nov 01, 2015: State Minister for Urban Development and Udupi District in-charge Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake laid foundation for various projects as well as inaugurated several completed projects, all worth Rs 150 crore on October 31, Saturday.

 

Addressing a function held in this connection in front of Marigudi in Kaup  the minister said all efforts would be made develop the Kaup Municipal Council as a model TMC. Top priority would be given to upgrade the drainage system, he said adding he has evinced personal interest in the development of Kaup and has visited various panchayats  to have a firsthand information about the problems faced by them.

Facilities under various government schemes were distributed to  510 beneficiaries on the occasion.

K Vasudeva Shetty, President of Kaup Development Committee,  Prakash S Natelkar,  ACF of Kundapur, Kaup Diwaker Shetty, Kaup CA Bank President, Narayana Poojary, Udupi taluk Akrama Sakrama Committee President and others were present.
