Kaup beach life saving team rescues suicidal man

Udupi, April 6, 2015 : The  Kaup beach development project life saving team, which is headed by Yathish Baikampady, on  April 5 saved a man who was headed for suicide.  Imanullah, abou 37 yrs, said to be from Hosanagara of Shivamogga  jumped into the rough seas.

It is reported that Imanullah came to Kaup just before 4.pm supposedly with ideas of suicide, he rushed into the sea near the board indication ’danger zone’.

The lifeguards who observed this immediately went to his rescue and prevented him.

He fought with the rescuers saying he wanted to end his life due to distress and misery but the details are unknown as of now.  Imanullah is said to be a married man  with 4 children.  He was  handed over to Kaup police.
