Kasargod returns to normalcy after violent incidents during hartal

Kasargod, Jan 04, 2019 : Kasargod district which was tense  and witnessed several sporadic incidents of violence during Thursday’s hartal against entry of two women of  menstruating age to the Sabarimala shrine,   has returned to normalcy on Friday.

 

All shops and business establishments are  open and vehicles are plying as usual.  Situation in Manjeshwar taluk which too witnessed stabbing and other untoward incidents last night,  has returned to normalcy. Presently  prohibitory orders under Section 144 is in place and holiday has been declared to all schools in the taluk.

On Thursday  night two persons named Guruprasad (23) and Kiran Kumar (40)  were stabbed at Manjeshwar  by a group which came by three bikes while at Kadambar another person named Vasantha  was attacked at Kumble Shiriya.
