Kasargod : Two bullet bikes with fake number plates seized

Kasargod, July 17, 2018: A police team led by Kasargod Town Circle Inspector Abdul Rahim has seized two bullet bikes with fake number plates. The accused however gave the cops a slip. Initial investigations revealed that the bikes were stolen from Bantwal.

 

The riders abandoned the vehicles and escaped as soon as they saw the cops on a checking spree near the railway station. When cops telephoned the owner on the basis of the bike number, the latter said his bike of the same registration number was with him. It was then that the cops realised that the seized bikes had fake number plates.

Kasargod police have contacted the Bantwal police and have sought information.  Police  have also gathered  information that a racket of stealing stolen bikes with fake number plates was active in the region.
