Kasargod : Trio booked for hiding ganja in jeans given to Qatar bound passenger

Kasargod, Oct 15, 2015:  A resident of Kunjattur has lodged a complaint with  the Manjeshwar police alleging that a pair of jeans  given to him by a person  from Manjeshwar with a request to hand it over to a friend of his in Qatar had  ganja hidden in its pockets.

 

The complainant Ashraf was planning to leave for Qatar for a job when  Rahim who resides near Manjeshwar railway station approached him and handed him over the pair of jeans.

Though Ashraf accepted it, later while filling his baggage he thoroughly checked the jeans to find ganja packet in the pocket. Realising that he  was lucky as he would have otherwise been trapped in the airport. Ashraf wasted no time in lodging a complaint with Manjeshwar police who have now filed case against Rahim and two  others.

The ganja found in the jeans weighed 20 grams.

Further investigations are underway.
