Kasargod: Timber worth lakhs gutted in Bombay Timber Saw Mill fire

Kasargod, Jan 03, 2017: A fire gutted timber in Bombay Timber Saw Mills in Uppala on January 03, Tuesday morning, with losses estimated to be around Rs 10 lakh.

Abubakkar Haji is the proprietor of Bombay Timber Saw Mills. It is said that fire ignited from canteen situated nearby which turned the entire mill to ashes.

The Fire personnel rushed to spot extinguish the fire by but the entire mill was gutted completely.  The cause of fire is suspected to be arson though further inquiries are in progress.
