Kasargod: Suspicious death of 15 yr girl; youth taken into custody

Kasargod, Aug 13, 2014:  The  death of a 15 year old girl, reportedly due to burn injuries at Trikkaripura Koyangara, has given room for much suspicious. The police have arrested a suspect in this case.

The girl Jishna, daughter of autorickshaw driver KV Ramesh  was found  dead with burn injuries in the kitchen of her house on August 11, Monday evening after she returned from school. She was a class ten student of the Udinoor Government Higher Secondary School.

It is learnt, there was none in the house when the incident took place. The matter came to light when locals, on noticing smoke billowing from the kitchen, rushed in only to find her dead.

The suspicion is that she was doused with kerosene oil and set on fire. Police have taken into custody a suspect who was found in the same area. Investigations are underway.
