Kasargod : NIA likely to arrest kingpin in ISIS recruitment case of Kerala

Kasargod, Jan 30, 2017:  The National Investigation Agency which is investigating into the ISIS links of several people from the state who had gone missing and are reportedly involved in Islamic State activities  is likely to arrest Abdul Rasheed from Kasargod who is said to be prime accused in the case and  was responsible for recruiting people from the state to ISIS.

Abdul Rasheed ..According to sources, Rasheed was presently in Afghanistan and attempts are being made by the NIA to apprehend him with help from the government there.

It may be recalled here that the charge sheet filed before the special court by  the NIA has named one Yasmeen from Bihar as the prime accused along with Rasheed. Yasmeen has already been arrested while  she was  about to board a flight to Afghanistan from the New Delhi airport along with her four year old son.  Yasmeen is said to be  the second wife of Rasheed.

 Several cases have been filed in Kasargod, Ernakulam and Palakkad districts regarding the  missing of people who have reportedly joined ISIS.
