Kasargod : Mother, child kidnapped by unknown assailants

Kasargod, Aug 31, 2018: In a shocking incident, a group of miscreants who came by a car have kidnapped a young mother and her three year old son at Chittarikkal on August 31, Friday.

 

Those kidnapped are Minu (23) and her child Sai Krishna. Minu is the wife of Manoj, a resident of Chittarikkal Velladka. The motive behind the kidnapping is not known.

Manoj is a mechanic by profession and the kidnapping took place soon after he left for work. It is said that Minu had telephoned her husband  informing about the assailants who had entered the house. However, later her phone was found switched off. It is said  the kidnappers had escaped by the time locals rushed to the spot on hearing the cries of Minu.

Police have begun investigations. Senior police officials including SP  Dr A Srinivas, Kanhangad DySP  P K Sudhakeran and others  visited the spot.
