Kasargod: IUML leader’s house torched by miscreants ; suspicion on sand mafia

Kasargod, Dec 12, 2014:  The house of a Muslim League leader was allegedly set on fire by some miscreants during the wee hours of December 11, Thursday. The kitchen of the house of Muslim League leader Mohammad from Bambrana PK Nagar has been gutted in the fire.

 

 

It is suspected that the miscreants had thrown papers and waste clothes doused in kerosene through the window of the house  to set fire.

One suspicion is  of the involvement of sand mafia behind this disruptive act  as Mohammad had earlier openly opposed the operation of the sand mafia in his area.

It is learnt, the occupants of the house woke up on hearing some sound at 3 am and saw fire in the kitchen. Neighbours who rushed to the spot managed to douse the flames before it went uncontrollable as there was a chance of the LPG cylinder in the kitchen too bursting.

Kumble police are investigating the case.
