Kasargod : Gang of 3 rapes young woman; flees after stabbing her

Kasargod, Aug 6, 2014 : A gang of three allegedly abducted a 21 year old woman, dragged her to a rubber plantation where she was reportedly gang raped near Paivalike on August 4, Monday. Reports said the culprits escaped from the scene but not before stabbing the woman who raised a cry. The victim was later rushed to a hospital by the locals.

The incident  was reported from Sunnada Bayar near Paivalike when the  woman was on way home from the Bayar market. It is said three  men who came by a bike pulled the girl towards a nearby rubber plantation where they  raped her.  It is learnt, she was stabbed with a sharp weapon when she tried to raise a cry.

One of the accused has been identified as Zakaria who locals say was involved in  several crimes. In the meantime, tension prevailed as locals even staged a protest outside his house. Police have spread a dragnet to nab the accused.
