Kasargod : Fisherman killed in lightning strike

Kasargod, April 13, 2021:     In a tragic incident, a fisherman died  due to lightning strike while  fishing   in the sea at Kasargod during the wee hours of April 13, Tuesday morning.

 

The deceased is Babu Raj (40), a resident of Adkattabail. Another person named Krishna who was with him has sustained injuries.

The mishap took place at around 3 am when Babu Raj along with three others  was fishing in a boat named Bhagyalakshmi. As the boat reached the estuary  the weather turned inclement with strong winds, rain,  thunder and lightning.
