Kasargod: Elderly woman robbed and murdered in Uduma

Kasargod, Jan 19, 2018 : An elderly woman who was staying alone at home was robbed and murdered in Uduma here. The incident came to light  on January 19, Friday.

 

Zubaida (60) residet of Uduma Ayyampara is identified as the deceased.

Reports said that Zubaida was staying alone in the house. The neighbours did not notice her from past two days went to her house to enquire, but saw her bieng tied up and was lying dead . They immdiately informed Bekal police about the incident.

Police officers along with forensic experts and canine squads reached the spot. Investigations revealed that the house was locked from outside but there were two glasses of juice  placed on the table. The bangles and the chain which she used to wear  regularly were also missing. It is suspected that Zubaida was murdered two days ago.

A case of murder and  robbery has been booked, as some of the items in the house were stolen. Investigations are underway.
