Kasargod : Covid-19 claims first life in district

Kasargod, July 08, 2020:    Coronavirus has claimed  its first victim in Kasargod district. The throat swab test report of  the  person who had passed away on Tuesday at the Kasargod General  Hospital, which was recived on Wedesday has confirmed that the man from Mogral Puttur  had Covid-19 infection.

The person who was a merchant in Hubballi was admitted to the Kasargod General Hospital in a critical state on Tuesday. He had died within a few  minutes of being admitted to the hospital. He was brought in an ambulance from Hubballi to Talapady and from there to the Kasargod General Hospital by a car.

Two  relatives who had admitted him to the hospital, are now placed in quarantine. The last rites will be held as per the Covid protocol, informed officials.
