Kasargod : Boat capsizes mid-sea ; 5 fishermen rescued

Kasargod, Mar 04, 2021:     A fishing boat capsized off the coast of Bekal on Wednesday night due to the impact of strong tidal waves.   Five fishermen on board  the boat were rescued by the  Coast Guards  and  Fisheries Department  Security personnel.

 

The boat had ripped apart after the capsize and all the five fishermen who were  stranded in one part of the boat were eventually rescued.

The  boat named Maria had set out on a fishing expedition  from Neeleshwara Ayittala two days ago. All the fishermen who were rescued are from Tiruvananthapuram.
