Kasargod: 8 yr girl injured in Hosangady accident succumbs

Kasargod, Nov 17, 2015 : Eight year old Sangeetha who had sustained  serious injuries in the car-tanker collision  near Hosangady in Manjeshwar two days ago, has  breathed her last at a private hospital in Mangaluru on November 17, Tuesday.

Sangeetha was a  second standard student of Don Bosco School, Kayyar.

With her death, the  total number of people who died in the  gory mishap has risen to three. Umesh Mayya (70) and his wife Sharada (65) had died when their Alto car  crashed against a stationed tanker on Sunday.

Sangeetha’s father Chidananda Mayya (44), her sister Manvitha (4) and relatives Shobha (25) and Parvathi (60) who were injured in the accident are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The tragic accident occurred when the family which had attended a house warming ceremony of a relative at Suratkal, was returning to Bandyodu.
