Kasargod : 2 dead, 6 injured in car-scooter collision

Kasargod, Jan 09, 2024: Two persons lost their lives while six others sustained injuries in a collision between a car and a scooter near Periya on the National Highway on January 9, Tuesday.

 

The deceased are Gopalkrishna (55) and Narayanan (62). Both of them were riding the scooter. Passengers in the car namely Shaheen (36), his wife Sahala, relatives Saheen, Shamnas, Fathima and Hana Fathima have been hospitalized. A pedestrian Hamza (65) was also critically injured and has been hospitalized.

The injured were on way to Payyanur for passport related work when the mishap took place. The scooter was badly mangled due to the impact of the collision.
