Kasargod: 15 students injured as private bus topples

Kasargod, Aug  7, 2015:  As many as 15 students sustained injuries when a private bus operating on the Talapady-Heroor  route overturned after the driver lost control over it on the National Highway near Mallangai in Bandyodu on August 6, Thursday evening.

Most of the passengers in the bus were school and college students. Locals who rushed to the spot of the accident assisted in shifting the injured to hospitals. If some students were admitted to a hospital in Uppala some others were shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

Some of the  injured   have been identified as Priya (18), Harshitha (17), Yusuf(19),   Reshma, Nizam, Zainaba. Priyanka, Rasheed and Safira.

Traffic on the Kasargod-Mangaluru NH was disrupted for nearly an hour following the accident.

Kumble police have registered a case.
