Karnataka Christian Educational Society celebrates KACES Day

Mangalore, July 6, 2011: The Karnataka Christian Educational Society of Balmatta organized KACES Day at Bishop Jathanna Auditorium on July 6 Wednesday. The birthday of the late Retired Rev. Dr. C. D. Jathanna, the founder of KACES, is celebrated as KACES Day.

Central Excise Superintendent D. M. Soori symbolically inaugurated the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) on this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Soori said that the introduction of IELTS is another feather in the cap of KACES and added that English is essential for social interaction since it is the window to the entire world. He also predicted that IELTS will emerge as the best English training course.

The welcome address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Anil Kumar.

KACES honored a number of Christian achievers in the field of education, sports, science, music, and others.

Bishop C. L. Furtado, the retired bishop, and D. A. Sadananda, the treasurer of KACES, were present on the occasion.
