Karnataka Bank launches Current & Savings Accounts campaign

Mangaluru, Nov 15, 2014 :As a major customer acquisition initiative and with an intention to take the Banking to the door steps of the General public, Karnataka Bank has today, launched a nationwide special Current account and Savings Bank account campaign for a period of 3½ months from 15th November, 2014 to 28th February 2015.

Under the said all India campaign Bank intends to open more than 5 lakhs Current & Savings accounts by undertaking door to door canvassing by its entire work force and also cover maximum number of households under Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yogana [PMJDY] scheme. General Public is requested to make use of this opportunity to open Savings Bank / Current account with requisite K.Y.C. documents and information.

To suit the varied segments, the Bank offers host of Savings accounts namely “SB Sugama” - Basic Savings Bank Deposit Account [BSBD], “SB Small” for Migrant workers & street hawkers, “KBL-Kishore” for Minors, “KBL-Tarun” for students, “KBL-Salary Privilege” for salaried persons, “KBL-Vanitha” for women,  Insurance linked SB accounts, and “SB-Money Platinum”, “Ruby”, & “Sapphire” for HNIs. Like wise the Bank offers five types of Current Accounts namely “Money Pearl”, “Money Ruby”, “Money Diamond”, “Money Diamond Plus” and “Money Platinum” to suit the business needs of different segments of the market.

The customers of the Bank can transact 24 X 7 at their convenience through Debit Card, ATMs, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, SMS alert on transactions, Missed Call Banking facility for Balance enquiry & mini statement. These facilities are offered at free of charge. In addition, Retailers, Super Markets, MSME customers etc. can avail the Point of Sales [POS] services to enhance their business opportunities.

The Bank at present has more than 625 Branches across India and 61 lakhs accounts under Current & Savings Bank category. Bank is aiming to cross 68 lakhs Current & Savings Bank customer base by March 2015. Karnataka Bank which is well known as a “Tech-savvy Bank” is extending its services with human touch to be a “Customer Friendly Bank”.
