Karnataka Bank Bags four ASSOCHAM Social Banking Excellence Awards

Mangaluru, Mar 4, 2017: Karnataka Bank has bagged four ASSOCHAM Social Banking Excellence awards in the small bank category. A press release said here on Saturday that Karnataka Bank has won winners awards in ‘Government Schemes’ and ‘Priority Sector Lending’ categories, and runners-up in ‘Agricultural Banking’ and ‘Overall Best Social Bank’ categories.

Raghurama, General Manager, of the Bank received the awards from Minister of State for Finance Arjun Ram Meghwal, in a glittering function held on March 3, 2017, at Mumbai.

“It was a great honour receiving 4 prestigious awards instituted by ASSOCHAM. Bank has been making efforts to ensure hassle free, timely and adequate flow of credit to the rural sector in general and agriculture and priority sector in particular. We are happy that Bank’s participation in various Government Schemes and commitment to the welfare of the society at large has been recognized and rewarded”, said P Jayarama Bhat, MD & CEO of the Bank.
