Karkala : Young woman files police complaint against GP member for ditching her

Karkala, Dec 7, 2016 :  A young woman from Bailur has lodged a complaint with the Karkala Police against a youth who is also a member of the Neere Gram Panchayat, accusing him  of ditching her.  It is said the young lady who was impregnated by the GP member had even delivered a baby.

The victim woman  who  was earlier working as a nurse in Mangaluru  had quit the job and was working at a hospital at Manipal since October last year. It is said she came into contact with the accused Sharath Shetty  in Manipal.

The complainant said that the  accused was an autorickshaw driver and used to take her to work and back home in his autorickshaw. As the two came closer, the accused had reportedly promised to marry her and had even developed physical relationship with her on several occasions.

The woman had  delivered a baby on November 28 and it has been gathered that it was  Sharath himself  who took  her to hospital after she developed labour pain.
