Karkala: Teenager raped, accused arrested

Karkala Dec 15, 2015: Teenager raped by a youth in Banglagude in Karkala. The incident came to light on December 14, Monday.

The accused is identified as Malabari Mohammed Alias Mohammed Shafi. He is 21 years old. A resident of Banglagudde and owned a Chicken Stall here.

It is learnt that the girl was a studying in Ninth Standard.

The school had organized a tour for the high school students; victim’s mother dropped her to the school at 8 am on December 13, Sunday.  The girl went missing and the authority informed the matter to girl’s family.

Later girl was found and she revealed the truth that Mohammed had taken her to his house forcibly and raped her. A complaint was lodged and police arrested the accused. The investigation is going on in Karkala Police station.
