Karkala: Mother, son killed in an accident near Nitte

Karkala June 27, 2016 : A ghastly accident claims life of a woman and her son at Kalya Halekatte near Nitte in Karkala on June 26, Sunday.  The over speed and reckless driving of the pick up van  driver  is the reason for the accident.

The deceased are identified as Sowmya (28), her   son Shrewanth(3). Sowmya’shusband  Ganesh who was riding the bike is also injured .  They were the residents of Belman.

It is learnt that Ganesh along with his family were on the way to Nellikatte. A speeding pick up van plying from the opposite direction knocked the bike. Due to the impact of the accident  Sowmya and Shrewanth  were seriously injured  and  breathed their last. Ganesh is being treated at Manipal Hospital.

The casehas been registered in Karkala Rural police station. Investigation is going on.
